Workshops at Two Pond Farm

Growing with Food on Two Pond Farm

What's it all about?
These workshops (with the exception of one) are designed to give you a 'hands-on' experience learning how to grow your own organic vegetables, forage your own greens, and preserve your food. The one exception is the Wool Workshop.
The sessions are held in the farmhouse, the barns, the fields, and gardens as appropriate to the season and class topics. Each workshop provides you with hands-on experiences and a take-home gift that you will have made yourself.

This year we have decided to dedicate ourselves to our gardens, trying to produce incredible vegetables for all of our customers. The only workshop we will be giving is our Wool Workshop!!

Allison and Judy started working together over 20 years ago, teaching farm-to-table workshops for four years. Then we took time off to garden. After years of people requesting more, we're back presenting workshops again.
Allison has been managing and working her farm, Two Pond Farm, with her husband, Roger Knight, for over forty years. Judy is a retired middle school science teacher, school and community garden director.

Six years ago she created a productive kitchen garden on the farm. Two years later, she expanded into the half-acre gardens at Bear Swamp Farm and, two years later again, she expanded into the full-acre organic garden at Bear Swamp Farm.
Together they bring decades of experience and depth of knowledge with lots of humor. Please contact either Allison or Judy to sign up for a workshop(s) and to sign up for our email list so you can get more information about all of the workshops and... to see what else we are up to!

Workshop Schedule 2026

October 24 The Wool Workshop. This is a full day workshop which includes lunch. It is for anyone who wants to learn what it takes to transform the wool of a sheep into spun fiber. In the morning we will skirt, wash, pick, and card raw wool sheared from the sheep at Two Pond Farm. After a delicious lunch, we will introduce you to spinning wool with a drop spindle, and then on a spinning wheel!

This workshop begins at 9:30 with a light breakfast snack and our ‘meet and greet’. The class begins promptly at 10:00. It costs $80 per person.

Workshops are limited to 10 participants, so register early to hold your spot. Registration requires a $40 deposit.
